Need for Funding
The estimated cost of Phase 1 development is $5.6M. We are seeking to raise $800,000.
Funds will be used to provide:
• A children’s nature play area in the park.
• A seasonal chilled ice rink.
• A plaza entrance to the park on Duane Street.
• Support for park operations.
Children’s Play Area
A fun nature play area will be created, featuring native plantings and nestled near the Prairie Path.
Ice Skating Rink
Glen Ellyn has been skating strong for over 75 years, thanks to the Glen Ellyn Speed Skating Club. We are seeking funds to provide a seasonal chilled ice rink, tentatively sized 60’ X 100’. Let’s create a place for everyone to skate, celebrate, and make memories!
Duane Street Plaza
Beautifully landscaped, with terraced seating, the plaza will be a welcoming space for the community to enjoy.
